Our story

Rume was founded in 2024 by Olouta Faraimo and Jessanah Betham in Porirua, Pōneke.

With our team, we are building a community movement for women by women. We believe that community doesn't just happen, so our mission is to foster and build intentional deliberate community through storytelling and connection. 

Our heart is that women in our communities recognise their inherent value, have opportunities to deepen social connections, grow in confidence and are inspired to dream and go after exciting things in life.

We recognise that every decision we make today to strengthen, protect and empower women impacts not just the current generation, but future generations. Women are the heart and soul of any community and we believe that what is good for women, is good for families, communities and society.
